From the san Francisco bay Area

There are two options:

Option A - From San Francisco or North East Bay Area

  • Take I-680 North towards Sacramento

  • Take I-80 East towards Reno

  • Follow directions from the Sacramento Area

Option B - From the South Bay

  • Take I-580 East towards Stockton

  • Take I-205 towards Stockton

  • Take I-5 North towards Stockton/Sacramento

  • Take I-80 East towards Reno

  • Follow directions from the Sacramento Area

Free Parking Near the Lake

Kings Beach has 6 free year-round parking lots totaling 260 parking spaces within walking distance to the lake, shops, recreation areas and restaurants. All parking lots are open from 7am to 10pm and overnight parking is prohibited.

The Kings Beach State Recreation Area also provides paid parking which varies in cost from $5 per day to $10 per day. The parking lot is open from 6am to 10pm.
